Ilminster town ladies 7 - 0 Bishops Lydeard Reserves

In very wet, windy and difficult conditions Ilminster found themselves playing on the unfavoured back pitch. Ilminster though did not let this effect them and they worked hard throughout putting in a good strong performance to take a comfortable win.

The first half saw Ilminster coming down the hill and after plenty of pressure Ilminster finally found their first goal in the back of the net when a defensive mix up left Alice Charlton with an open goal in her sight and she calmly slotted in.
Bishops Lydeard did however a apply a bit of pressure but Ilminsters defense never looked worried clearing up any danger. Ilminster though found a second goal through Aimee Rowe when some good work down the wing resulted in a perfect cross for Rowe to tap in.

Good work down the left wing from girl of the game Dee Cracknell crossing for Charlton to slot in a second and just before the break she completed her hat trick taking the blues 4-0 up at half time.

The second half saw Ilminster hold their shape and add 3 more goals, firstly through Charlton getting her 4th of the game after again more good work. Lesley Spearing found herself getting on the scoresheet with the 6th goal of the game after a run down the wing finishing off with a brilliant strike over the Keeper.
Lastly Sarah Roxburgh rounded things off with the 7th goal when she picked up the ball on the half way line and after having a run at the defense causing confusion she found herself striding between the defenders going through one on one with the keeper and calmly slotting to make it 7 running from the half way line to calmly slot in the 7th goal.

Man of the Match went to Dee Cracknell for a brilliant display throughout the 90minutes.

Goals - Alice Charlton (4), Lesley Spearing (1), Aimee Rowe (1) and Sarah Roxburgh (1)
