Ladies back with a bang !

After 2 months of no football it was good for the girls to dust their boots off and eventually play this County Cup Quarter Final against a good young Yeovil Side.

Ilminster started the game kicking up the hill against the wind, They started brightly moving the ball well, eventually breaking the deadlock through Dee Cracknell after some brilliant work down the left wing. Ilminster continued to push in difficult conditions and were soon rewarded with a second goal when a Lesley Spearing cross deceived the keeper for Aimee Rowe to head home taking the girls in 2-0 up at half time.

The Second half saw Ilminster come out more relaxed knowing they were now going down hill with the wind behind them, they carried on as they left the first half moving the ball creating chances which soon paid off when Sarah Roxburgh produced a tidy finish curling it around the keeper. Ilminster then made it 4-0 through Emma Jennings who poked the ball home after a goal mouth scramble. Towards the closing stages of the game Ilminster finished off with a 5th goal when Dee Cracknell again down the wing crossed the ball over to Chelsea Board who made no mistake in smashing the ball home.

The game finished 5-0 with Ilminster progressing to the Semi final awaiting the next opposition.

Man of the Match went to the whole team for outstanding performances from each and everyone.
