As Ilminster Ladies reserves play catch up on their fixtures this game saw them travel away to bottom side Hamilton.

In much need of goals to help
boost their goal difference in the table today afforded them that chance against the struggling home team.

There is always that nervousness until the deadlock is broken about what kind of game this could be. But it’s not long before the away team open their account.

A corner sent in from Shakira Howard is battled for, Tia Shoemark takes it up and lays it back to Michelle Lawrence on the edge of the box who sends the shot goal bound. It goes through everyone and into the back of the net.

Michelle Lawrence is starting for the first time after a lengthy spell out and what a way to signal her return. (0-1)

Ilminster maintain the pressure on the home team and another good opportunity is sent just over the crossbar from Lucy Pitman.

Tia takes a shot across the goal, the goalkeeper parries it out, but Shakira Howard picks up the rebound and lobs it calmly over the keeper. (0-2)

All the play is in Hamilton’s defensive half.

The ball is in the back of the net again from Jade however the linesman has flagged for offside it won’t count, much to the dismay of the team and management. They think he’s got that one wrong as it looked like another player was offside but not Jade.

Jade Shoemark is frustrated. Play restarts, Jade Shoemark ferociously battles for the ball and drives at the heart of Hamilton she rides a challenge & forces her way past two more, they can’t stop her she is determined to bully her way through, she shrugs off another defender, this is an unbelievable run, they just can’t stop her, is she going to go all the way?

She makes her way into the penalty area out muscling and out pacing the opposition just the keeper to beat, she rams it home.

The supporters go wild, try calling that one offside ? (0-3)

Shakira Howard sensing a chance to up her goals tally, gets herself into the mix with another two goals she’s got herself a hatrick.

Michelle Lawrence is pulling all the strings in midfield.

Lucy Pitman trying to shake off some of the rust in her absence from the team is also able to get on the score sheet making it 6 for the away team.

And Shakira Howard completes the rout with a seventh team goal and fourth for her. (0-7)

Another good team performance as they were able to pass the ball around. And the defence dealt swiftly with any potential threats, to keep a clean sheet.

Man of the Match: Michelle Lawrence - completing 90 minutes on her full return to the team and opened up the scoring. Also dominated midfield with a spirited performance.
