Ilminster Town made the short trip to 4th in the table Middlezoy Rovers on the back of a decent run of results and performances, and it was the blues who made the better start and they stopped the home team getting any rhythm to their play.
Middlezoy did look dangerous on the attack when Ilminster couldn't clear their lines, and threatened with out any real clear cut chances.
Ilminster used their height to their advantage and both Charlie Rutter and Jon May won headers from set pieces but could not hit the target.
Both sides were cancelling each other out as half time came.
The second half was played at the same intensity, with Middlezoy adapting a more physical approach, and as the game became an end to end Jack Male and Charlie Rutter both had good chances, just missing the target when well placed.
The home side pushed for the winner in the last five minutes and won a succession of free kicks in dangerous areas, but with the ever impressive Chris May on top of his game, Ilminster stood strong and won a deserving point.
The Somerset County Premier League is very tight this season with Stockwood Green finding themselves at the bottom of the table with only one defeat, they have amazingly drew 7 matches from 8 played, and only 6 points separates all but the top six.

Next week Home to Clutton at the Arcie Gooch Pavillion with a 3.00pm kick off, Clutton who like Ilminster won the Somerset County Division 1 gaining promotion, but the East Division rather than West, and once again it should be another tight match as they have 12 points the same as Ilminster.
