With a number of players unavailable the Ilminster boys made the hour trip to Cheriton Fitzpaine.
The day started badly with a number of players late for the meet time resulting in the team arriving for the game with less than 15minutes till kick off, no proper warm up and proper focus caused a sloppy start and it looked as if it could be 'one of those days'.
Although the home side started the stronger Jonny Kingston in goal and a resilient back 4 kept the hosts at bay and it was Ilminster who looked the more likely to score.
A number of first half chances went begging and the first half ended 0-0.
Knowing the goals would come no half time changes where made and Ilminster made the perfect start to the half as within the first 5 minutes Renato Silva struck from close range to give the visitors the lead.
Good work from David Pereira down the left was taken down in the box for a penalty for Ilminster, Pereira took the resulting penalty and struck home to make it a quick fire 2-0.
Fitzpaign attempted to get back in the game but the damage was done and a last minute 2nd Renato Silva goal was the icing on the cake as Ilminster secured their 10th league win of the season.
