With the festive break looming Ilminster Town Reserves ended 2016 with a deserving win over the Army and Navy boys of Woodbury.
Woodbury started the game brighter taking the lead through striker Chesney Brown.
Ilminster grew into the game and inform forward Warren Gabbidon equalised to make it 1-1.
Although edging the first half Ilminster found themselves level at half time.
Knowing the quality of Ilminster would prevail no half time changes where made however it was Woodbury who took the lead again as a deflected shot off Steve Rodber floated over Jake Hardiman's head to make it 2-1 to Woodbury.
A combination of the home sides tiring legs and the quality of the Ilminster players was to much for Woodbury as the boys in blue stepped it up a gear with a further two goals from Warren Gabbidon and goals from Ricky Anderson, David Pereira and Kamil Wilk saw Ilminster end the year in style.
Goal Scorers.
