Reserves Bounce Back After Previous Dismantling

After last week's thumping from Cranbrook, Ilminster visited Colyton whom the week before held the league leaders to a 1-1 draw.

Ilminster boosted by the January signings of Olavo Ribeiro and brother Flávio Ribeiro started the brighter and could of gone in front early on but it was the hosts that took the lead leaving Ilminster needing to come from behind if they was to get anything from the game.

A stop start first half was enough to get back in the game as David Periera struck home to level the game at ht 1-1.

Ilminster started the 2nd half brightly and Renato Silva struck from close range from a corner to take the lead 2-1.

Top goal scorer Warren Gabbidon added to his fine season tally for the 3rd and new boy Olavo Ribeiro added Ilminster's 4th to kill the game off and secure all 3 points for the visitors.

At the other end stand in Keeper George Best made a great close range save to end any hopes of a Colyton come back.
