The Colts made the long away trip to Odd Down to face Weston FC in the 3rd round of the Somerset Intermediate Cup, and once again got off to a slow start and fell 1-0 behind. The Colts character showed once again though with a quick reply, Steve Rodber playing a long through ball for Jordan Allen to run through and score.
Having got back into the game, the Colts then conceded a penalty, but young Jack Rutter, in only his second appearance, manage to save to keep the Colts level in the match.
5 minutes later, the decisive moment of the match occurred with Steve Rodber receiving a straight red card following a two footed challenge on a Weston FC player.
The Colts held on until half time, but were unable to see out the second half, conceding three further goals to crash out 4-1.
Some good news for the Colts came closer to home where Halstock defeated Forton Rangers 8-3 giving the Colts a boost in their bid for promotion to the Perry Street Premier Division.
Next week the Colts face struggling Shepton Beauchamp Reserves at home in a 14.30 kick off.
