Crewkerne Rangers Reserves 0 - 1 Ilminster Town A

Ilminster A travelled to Crewkerne expecting a tough game as Crewkerne Rangers Reserves have also made a good start to the season, Ilminster again fielded a very young side captained by 16 year old Josh Phillips, who so far has been a rock at the back for Ilminster, Ilminster also welcomed back Owen Burn from injury to sure up the defence, Ilminster started brightly but without any real penetration.

Only a long shot from Joe Osborne bringing a top save from the Crewkene keeper, the game was tight Ilminster were kept in the game thanks to there keeper Mark Cullen who made 3 top saves.

In the second half Ilminster were serching for a winner when Kenny Timson had a fine effort bundled off the line with a mix of keeper and defenders

After a fine run and cross from Josh Phillips, Mitch Hooper then headed home the winner in the dying seconds of the game from a corner full time 0-1 Ilminster and the winning start continues. It was a very good game of football with 2 teams that will be hoping to finish in the promotion places Ilminster showed a really good team spirt to fight and scrap for the 3 points, next week the 2 unbeaten sides in Division 3 meet with Ilminster hosting Merriott Dynamos.
